50 of these experimental Gas Turbine cars
were built to test the feasibility of this new power source. During a three year
period, 200 Chrysler customers were given the car for three months each for a real-world
test. The car sounded like a jet plane when it drove by and the sound effect was
duplicated by many science fiction shows as the sound that cars of the future would make.
