Mirror

You can never discount the importance of your car's mirror. Your vehicle's mirrors help keep you safe on the road and help you quickly assess your vehicle's distance to other vehicles on the road. They also allow you to make last-minute checks on your appearance.

For convenience, your vehicle is equipped with three standard mirrors: a pair of side mirrors and a rearview mirror. The side mirrors, or door mirrors, are mounted near the hood, in line with the dashboard. These mirrors give you a view of the areas to the sides of your vehicle, making right- and left-hand turns easier. On more recent vehicle models, side mirrors are operated through a switch and small electric motor. Rearview mirrors, on the other hand, let you clearly see the area around your vehicle's rear so that you don't have to turn around just to check what's going on behind your vehicle. These standard mirrors help you stay aware of your surroundings, preventing minor collisions and accidents.

You can opt to equip your vehicle with other types of automotive mirrors, such as towing mirrors and day-night mirrors. What's important, however, is that the side and rearview mirrors are always functional. Make sure you get a mirror that is clear, durable, and of high build quality.
